Shifting Focus: How Social Applies Outside Marketing

I had no idea that teaching other teachers to use Instagram was high on the professional development list for District 500 in Kansas City, KS. I was even more surprised to find out why. It wasn't intended to engage students or somehow make school more fun or relevant for the kids. It turns out that, in some schools, it's a much more effective way to share test results and other graded assignments with parents, when papers in the backpack often don't make it home.
