Nominations are now open for the SMCKC Industry Leader/Adaption of Standards Chairperson. The Industry Leader/Adaption of Standards Chairperson will
- Be the liaison to the National SMCKC group
- Encourage adoption of industry standards
- Identify and work opportunities at local, regional, and national events to elevate the KC social media community as a thought leader in the social media industry
- Manage and be responsible for the Industry Leader/Adoption of Standards Committee

Networking and business development are keys to this roll.

I nominate Michael Burns (@wrytir) for this position. First and foremost, he lives and breathes social media. Second, he very successfully fulfilled a similar role within the Elks Lodge environment--as the policy enforcer as well as as the liaison to the national organization. He is extremely diplomatic and process-oriented, and he is an evangelist who knows how to work a room and build relationships.
