I nominate Jeff Smith otherwise known as JeffIsageek.

There are not a lot of people that are more active or knowledgeable about the variety of tools in the world of social media. Jeff has been an active member of SMCKC from beginning and IMO has been a huge part of the growth and success of this group. He would do a fantastic job managing the large information flow that comes with along with SMCKC.
I second the nomination for Jeff Smith as Technology Chairperson. He was the first person I thought of for this position and would be a great chair.
Absolutely agree. My first thought as well.
I think Jeff Smith is an excellent nominee.

In the spirit of competition and because we have many talented tech folks in Kansas City, I'm nominating Chris Duckett (@duckman1221) for the SMCKC Technology Chairperson. Chris is the co-creator of Life in the Tubes (http://lifeinthetubes.com/), knows the ins and outs of web tech, has been part of SMCKC from the start and has helped plan several of the SMCKC breakfasts.

Best of luck to Chris and Jeff both!
Either way SMCKC will win and I'm sure both @Jeffisageek and @Duckman1221 will support each other. Great nominations.
I thought Jeff was up for Sith Lord?

Many of you already know me way too well so I won't brag, boast or waste your time but I do want to give a bit of a bio since some of the members may not know who I am or my background completely.

I am a geek through and through, although I don't say it in my twitter handle. I've always been a hardware guy! I have 15 years experience running sound, lighting, and presentation systems with a primary focus on Church Technology. although I have written little I am a contributing author for the blog Church Tech Matters and enjoy the education side of leading the technical team at my local church Crown Pointe Church in Lee's Summit.

I have been using social media for a long time(twitter since March 1st 2007) and enjoy the relationships that I have gained both locally in the Kansas City area and across the world. I believe my enjoyment of technology in general and the focus I have w/ Social media garners me as a good candidate for this role although I'll be honest that I gladly support @jeffisageek in the role as well as he is another very strong candidate with his own strengths. I would be honored to serve in this capacity or as a part of the committee equally and look forward to the things that SMCKC has in store w/ it's future.

Our growth so far has been exponential and our technological needs so far are growing. I look forward to the day when we really do need a sound system and full scale presentation equipment as our numbers require the additional assistance to get the message of our speaker or members across and believe that I can as a part of the SMCKC team facilitate that growth.

Thank you all for your support, votes, and nominations. I am glad to have the opportunity to serve.
