My name is Laura and I'm the SMCKC Advocacy Chair.
I have experience with social media planning and implementations, building and maintaining web sites, event planning, media relations, internal relations, e-mail communications and non-profit marketing.
In my free time, I enjoy drinking beer, watching television (Breaking Bad, Mad Men, It's Always Sunny and 30 Rock), following college sports (GO JAYHAWKS!), watching Blackhawks hockey, playing with my cat (Wink) and my dogs (Hazel amd Lennie Briscoe), listening to music (KJHK DJ for four years) and reading non-fiction books. Oh yeah, and I'm attempting to learn to cook.

Looking for leaders for SMCKC March for Babies team
SMCKC has been asked by the March of Dimes - Kansas Chapter to have an official team for this year's March for Babies on April 30th in Kansas City. SMCKC has pledged to raise $5,000 for this wonderful cause and I'll be leading our effort to meet that goal, and hopefully go above and beyond. We can raise this money through walkers, we can host fundraising events-- it's really up to us!
