I owe everyone a big apology.
We began to ask for $5 to attend SMCKC Breakfasts (apart from normal breakfast charges) starting in February and we did a really crappy job of letting the community know before we did it and most importantly why. It's my job as President to make sure that any changes like this are communicated to you and we have many channels to choose from.
We've been so proud to be able to offer SMCKC breakfasts for no…Continue

On the first days of 2012, I wanted to take some time to look back at all that we've done in 2011.
The year tends to fly by us so quickly that it's easy to forget to reflect. We get so focused on the road ahead, where the group is going,…Continue

I know many of you are already aware of the great work the Salvation Army Children's Shelter does for our community, but for those of you who may not be familiar with the organization, I wanted to share this KC Star article. Hi everyone and welcome to the April breakfast event recap for SMCKC.
We were going to speak on the learnings from SXSWi this year, but Tuesday's announcement from Google that put KCK as the city to receive gigabit fiber internet made such a giant splash that we decided to call an audible and…Continue

We had a great turn-out at last Friday's breakfast but we know many of you were unable to attend and wanted to make sure everyone had a chance to review our 2011 plan. We also wanted to announce that we are now taking nominations for President and two chairperson positions, Technology and Advocacy. You can learn about more about these positions and responsibilities by reviewing our board manual. Nominations can be sent to email@example.com,…Continue

We understand people shared a variety of opinions, emotions and concerns during the past week associated with the launch of the SMCJoCo chapter. We as a board have struggled with how to respond to our community about the events that have transpired since we were…Continue
