Elections for 2012 Officers

Hi, everyone!

If you’ve gotten the better of your turkey-induced coma, satisfied your decorating impulses and are energized about moving SMCKC forward by leaps and bounds, now is your time!

We are now taking nominations for Membership/Education Chair, Secretary/Treasurer, and Communications Chair. You can learn about more about these positions and responsibilities by reviewing the SMCKC board manual. Nominations can be posted on our Facebook page, or as a tweet with the #smckc hashtag. The following outlines the time line for this election round.

12/2 breakfast: Nominees and people interested in a board position can speak about their qualifications or plans for the designated role. Final call for nominations will be made.

Nominations taken through 5:00 p.m., 12/2.

12/2-12/8: The SMCKC board will confirm nominees’ interest and availability to serve.

12/8 (by 10:00 a.m.): The board will create the December, 2011 Campaign Central forum. Official candidates will be listed in the original forum post. Candidates should be prepared to post qualifications to the Election Central forum for voters to read.

12/9 (by 5:00 p.m.): Voting is open! The SMCKC board will publish a link to the voting survey.  New member approvals will be put on hold from the time voting opens until voting closes.

12/16 (5:00 p.m.): Voting closes. New member approvals resume.

12/17 (5:00 p.m.): Election winners are notified.

12/20: Election winners identified in the weekly SMCKC newsletter.

1/6 breakfast: Election winners will have the opportunity to share their vision and take questions from the audience.
