How digitizing your community will help get you Google Fiber

This post is inspired by an original on the CleverTower blog. Resharing it here with some changes.

Everyone here knows Google Fiber, the latest Google product making its debut in Kansas City. It provides superfast internet, so fast you can download a movie in 7 seconds

There’s one catch though. Google has divided Kansas City into select geographic areas, which they call “fiberhoods”. Not everyone’s fiberhood gets to receive Google Fiber. Instead, Google is holding a contest to see which fiberhoods have the most interest. Residents show their interest by pre-registering on the Google Fiber website. Only the areas with the highest amount of pre-registrations will be selected.

At CleverTower, we think nothing should stand in your way of next-gen internet. Google has created some old school-flyers and brochures for people to hand out to their neighbours. Kind of out-of-character for an internet search giant. Instead, we’re going to help you rally the troops in a truly web 2.0 fashion.

CleverTower is all about creating communities for buildings. Anyone, landlord or tenant, can register their building. We’ll help sign up the other tenants. From there, make a building post on Google Fiber, and see how fast people sign up! It’s the sure-fire way to get the latest advance in technology.

We've already signed up buildings in the downtown KC Business District. We're hoping we can continue to have the same positive impact in other areas.

The deadline to pre-register is September 9th. Go to CleverTower now to get started.
